Known as the man-made lake and Emerald Lake, the Yercaud Big Lake is a standout amongst the most traveler attractive goals. The temple consists of a narrow and dark cave which is tightly packed and the idols of Lord Shevaroyan and Goddess Kaveri are placed inside it. Visited by the native tribal's the temple celebrates its annual festival in the premises of this temple during the month of May every year. On the other hand, Servarayan temple of Yercaud is overflowing with the God Lovers and Adventure Seekers, Sri Raja Rajeshwary temple, Sri Murugan temple, Arulmigo Salapparain Muniyappa and Murugan temple is also popular in Yercaud.


Botanical Garden 

The best places to discover the world of flora and fauna the Botanical Garden houses, the Orchidarium and the greenhouse is home to a large number of green scientific species. It is one of the perfect spots to pick up knowledge about diverse types of plants. Yercaud is known for Kurinji flowers where the specialty of this flower is that the tree blooms once in twelve years. Situated about 2 Km from the lake, the National Orchidarium is India's third biggest ranking garden after the Orchidarium of Calcutta and Shillong. The Yercaud's Orchidarium is one of the most flawlessly maintained natural enclosures where the garden is cherished by millions and millions of gardening enthusiasts. The garden is closed on weekends.

The Pagoda Point 

Found on the eastern piece of Yercaud Hill, Pagoda Point is otherwise called Pyramid Point. Named after the four heaps of stones that structure a pyramid shape where the point is accepted to be developed by the nearby tribes. The pagoda point has lovely vibe and the sublime lap of nature that enhance the beauty significantly more. From this Point, one can observe the wonderful scenic view of a small town Salem and a tiny village called Kakambadi. The cliff, the nature, the sunrise and sunsets are mesmerizingly wonderful. The hypnotizing destination of Pagoda Point is worth visiting. It is encouraged to visit in the morning or nighttime, as the weather is pleasant with an extremely peaceful ambiance.

(A better way would be to take the Bangalore highway and after the third toll gate, take a left to take the road to with a signboard showing the direction to Yelagiri Hills then proceed via Tirupattur, Harur, Uthangarai till you reach the bamboo forest at Manjavadi Kanavai. From there about in about 15 kilometres is a village named Kuppanur. Take a right turn there to reach Yercaud in 30 kilometres).
