Therefore,  after a sumptuous breakfast, we settled down to discuss ancient history of KAMASUTRA with Avinash who brought some old manuscripts related to “The Great Gupta Empire” of centuries ago kept by his Father who was born in 1906 and died 1969.

The Kama sutra (Sanskrit: कामसूत्र   pronounciation (help•info), Kāmasūtra) is an ancient Indian Hindu text widely considered to be the standard work on human sexual behavior in Sanskrit written by Vātsyāyana. A portion of the work consists of practical advice on sexual intercourse.
Vātsyāyana is the name of a Hindu philosopher in the Vedic tradition who is believed to have lived during time of the Gupta Empire (4th to 6th centuries AD) in India. His name appears as the author of the Kama Sutra
Gupta Empire (Sanskrit: गुप्त साम्राज्य, Gupta Sāmrājya) was an Jat empire of ancient India which existed approximately from 320 to 550 AD and covered much of the Indian Subcontinent. The empire was the Golden Age of India  and was marked by extensive inventions and discoveries in science,  technology,engineering, art, dialectic, literature, logic, mathematics, astronomy, religion and philosophy that crystallized the elements of what is generally known as Hindu culture. Chandra Gupta I, Samudra Gupta the Great, and Chandra Gupta II the Great were the most notable rulers of the Gupta dynasty.
Vātsyāyana  was supposed to be born in this region where I’m sitting now, comprising of PATLIPUTRA (Now named Patna), Nalanda and Rajgir

We ended our discussions by the evening. 

On the following 2 days, I visited Patna(PATLIPUTRA), Nakanda and Rajgir. I was keenly looking at the folks, trying to imagine this world of love and culture centuries ago.

At  Rajgir I enjoyed awesome ropeway journey, apart from visiting incredible tourist places of ancient civilizations, history, culture and spiritual significance. There was too little time to investigate further on KAMASUTRA or to visit all the beautiful places around PATLIPUTRA(PATNA).

I left the region with a heavy heart, remaining hungry and vowed to return soon to know more on this mystic land of KAMASUTRA and visit all the great tourist places of this region
