whenever I go, it amazes me. The sheer geographical diversity, splendor and a richness rarely seen at the other parts of the world as in Himachal Pradesh, India.

It starts from the low rolling hills from the south plains of the state, just few hundred meters above the sea levels, rising and climbing on to the north to touch the mighty Himalayas and beyond those forbidden heights the stunning land of cold deserts!

You see the rivers gushing through the deep valleys, beautiful mountain lakes, thick scented forests, mountains covered with snow and the patches of green carpets with alpine pastures, all becoming a part of a dream coming to reality....a nature's wonder!

However, it's this very incredible spectrum which opens immense possibilities for a wide range of out door activities, adventure and sports.

No special training is required except in few sports and adventures. Age is not a limitation if you have a reasonable physical fitness. Equipments, training, instructors, porters, mules, horses and special packages are available by the well recognised private agencies and by the Himachal Tourism Department. There are training Institutes at Manali and other places so you need not worry.

All you have to do is to make up your mind, do a bit of home work and you are here in Himachal.

And all this comes at a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere in the world!!
